Hello,

The latest xawtv stores frequency list in config file instead of its binary.
I think it is better, and I want to implement this feature for my own project
(effectv.sf.net). On the other hand, the most of TV applications manages
their freq. table in their own format, and this situation is bad. When someone
add an new frequency list, we have to copy it independently.

My suggestion is very simple. Why don't we manage such frequency list in
Open-source way? It would be great help for both users and developers.
If we have a united library to handle the table, each TV application needs not
to replicate the table into the package.

IMO, Gerd's approach is the best way to manage the table for user applications.

Please let me know how do you think.

Kentaro
