Huh? It used to work in older versions? Which API? v4l1 or v4l2?
The v4l1 API has _not_ changed, and the latest versions of v4l1-compat
+ saa7134 should do better than the old stuff. At least I've crunched
a number of bugs and it works for me (xawtv forced into using the v4l1
API using the -driver switch).
Any error messages printed by mplayer? Also both v4l1-compat and
saa7134 have insmod options to enable debug messages ...
