I also have an AverTV Stereo.
wrt to audio, I used to have a problem that both the normal channel and
SAP output at the same time (in xawtv). The parameter
"audiomux=0x0e,0x04,0x08,0x04,0" (for bttv) seems to help.

Here's the config in my /etc/modules.conf:

# i2c
alias char-major-89 i2c-dev
options i2c-core i2c_debug=0
options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1

# bttv
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=6 tuner=2 gbuffers=8 latency=128 audiomux=0x0e,0x04,0x08,0x04,0 gpiomask=0x0f irq_debug=0
options tuner debug=0 type=2


btw, does picture works in your KWinTV? From your wording I got the
impression that you only have video problems in MythTV.
