v4l over hauppauge dvb-s card

hi :

i have a hauppauge wintv nexus-s dvb-s card.
i use that card for the satellite signal recording.

i recently found that i can use that for a DVD playback

and, do the overlay using xawtv but not frame grabbing.

is it possible for grabbing the overlay-ed frames via

v4l ?  if it's the case, what should i do ?
