Hope this is not off topic.

1. Where is the FAQ for this list? Is there one?

2. I've heard there is a bttv mini howto? does this exist? in what
condition is it? where is it?

Now, my problem...

Running a PixelView PlayTV Pro (BT878) card, pci (not to be confused with
the Combo, or the playTV which is a BT848).
Patched the kernel to be up to date with i2c-2.5.0 . Patched onto 2.2.14.
Built the bttv-0.7.27 associated modules .
Installed xawtv3.13 . In that order...

Was previously running bttv-0.6.4h, with the standard 2.2.14 i2c. There
was problems with the image being produced, sound worked fine though, in
xawtv2.41, so I decided to update xawtv, and the associated dependicies
with it(ie updated i2c, and bttv).

Currently, I am able to load the i2c-* modules, without out any errors
appearing. When I go to load the bttv module after loading videodev,
i2c-*, tuner (type 5, it's a phillips)

This last line... cannot find the TDA9875 @xb0, is causing me some grief.
Has anybody had a similar experience with such a card? Or could they
suggest a solution to this? So far I've tried:

        -loading the tda9875 module separately
-loading the the other sound modules
-inserted mixer=line into my .xawtv config file
-Checked that the passthrough cable was plugged in properly :)

The picture is great, I have no problems with tuning the channels through
xawtv, but no sound :(

TIA
