On windows the same card with mjpeg codec captures 640x480 at 25 fps.
On Linux mjpeg capture can give me only 320x240 at 20 fps (without lost
audio/video sync).
So, this is definetely not a hdd. And it have nothing common with frame
rate - at 352x288 green frames appear both at 10 fps and at 30 fps. Not
with 320x240 at 50 fps :-)
