        Hi,

        I have a couple of questions about MSP34XX.

        I own the card on the subject, and having a look
        to the card i found it has this sound chip:

        Micronas 3415D A2

        When I load bttv modules this what i get...

        bttv0: Brooktree Bt878 (rev 2) bus: 0, devfn: 104, irq: 5,
        memory: 0xe1000000.
        i2c-core.o: adapter bt848 #0 registered as adapter 0.
        bttv0: i2c: checking for eeprom @ 0xa0... found
        bttv0: id: AVerMedia TVPhone98 (0x00041461)
        bttv0:   => card=41 (AVerMedia TVPhone 98)
        bttv0: model: BT878(AVerMedia TVPhone 98)
        bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... not found
        bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA8425 @ 0x82... not found
        bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9840 @ 0x84... not found
        bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA985x @ 0xb6... not found
        bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found
        i2c-core.o: driver i2c TV tuner driver registered.
        tuner: chip found @ 0x61
        bttv0: i2c attach [Temic PAL]
        i2c-core.o: client [Temic PAL] registered to adapter [bt848 #0](pos. 0).
        bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 ... ok

        So, sound chip isn't found, if I load it manually I'll get:

        parameters: debug=2

        i2c-core.o: driver i2c msp3400 driver registered.

        As taken from the module output this card is recognized as an
        Avermedia TV Phone.

        So the problem is that I've no sound and it's driving me nuts...

        Any idea out there?

        PD: This message was sent a couple of days ago, but with a wrong timestamp
        so, I bet almost anyone realized.
