On Linux 2.2.14, Debian 2.2.13, XFree86 3.3.6, xawtv works properly on
i810, i810e motherboards, using the XFcom-i810 server and agpgart.o
driver from Intel. An upgrade of the kernel from 2.2.14 to 2.3.99-pre6,
which now includes the agpgart source, causes the following error: X

It appears that the IOCTL being called is in the old, 2.2.14, based
agpgart source and not the new 2.3.x agpgart source. This error occurs
with either the old IntelXFCom-i810 or
the new XFree86 3.3.6 XF86_SVGA X servers. XFree86 3.3.6 says that it
now includes the support for the Intel i810 based motherboards. I
checked the XFree86 source and it is listed in the Makefile under the
XF86_SVGA server section, it also shows up in the logs.
I rebuilt the old agpgart driver under Linux 2.3.99-pre6 and got the
following error

I rebuilt the kernel with various options set, always have v4l set, and
tried with agpgart
support enabled, and then disabled, using the older agpgart driver
rebuilt for 2.3.99-pre6.
Looks like the second log is getting farther along the initialization,
but I do not know why the /dev/video open would fail. Looking for
input.
