Hi there everybody... :)

Hmmm, so I'm pretty new to that list and not sure if what I'm about to ask
belongs here or not (sorry for possibly being off-topic... :))) ). Well,
actually, I'm running a LifeView FlyVideoII - card (BT848) and an Elsa Erazor
III LT (Riva TNT2 M64) in my Linux box, and I'm using XFree86 3.3.6
(XF86_SVGA) and the bttv stuff (0.7.x) that comes with kernel 2.4.0-test1. So,
took me a little time to get the card working, and, by now, I'm able to both get
video and sound both in window and full-screen. Hmmm, only thing I'm still
working on is to get the *.avi capturing with xawtv working, but this doesn't
at all work as it's supposed to. While looking at the debug messages, while
recording a video I'm constantly getting messages like

ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,rgb15,384x288): Device or resource busy

with 15bit color depth or

ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,yuv422p,384x288): Device or resource busy

while recording with mjpeg. Finally when stopping and watching the recorded
movie, there are obviously just a few frames captured, most of the movie is
black. Can anybody give me a hint on what could be the reason for this? Is it a
problem of bttv, xawtv or X? Actually, capturing video-frames in grabdisplay
mode doesn't work properly, too, but gives me a flickering display picture with
a lot of black frames in between two pics... Strange thing, and I can't get
things cleared by now... :///

So, thanks a lot for reading this... Any kind of help would be very
appreciated...

Kind regards
Kristian
