I think I like this idea. The majority of people seem to think sticking
to the spec is best, so I suppose that is what I will do.
One thing I thought of though - how many applications will it really
break to allow partial reads? Any v4l2 compliant apps should determine
the image size before hand, and do a whole frame read, so they will see
no difference... (an app trying to use short reads on another driver
will simply get a -EINVAL, so there shouldn't be much of a problem with
inter driver compatibility)
If this isn't acceptable, I will just make the operation switchable.
