I am a novice Linuxer. ^^;
I want to show image from my Creative Webcam III. As you know, it using Omnivision solution.
I heard that I can use xawtv can do it. But I cannot do it.
If I try to run it, the message "cannot open /dev/video0"
error occurred.
But if I tried to run "ls -lav /dev/video*" there
it exists....
I am using kernel version 2.4.0-test4.
And I think the Ov511 USB camera driver module and xawtv
installation procedure was successful.
Because I followed documentation, and no error occurred during
installation procedure.
Ok there is another problem, there is no files in
"/proc/bus/usb" directory.
(I see in the document that there must be some
files.)
So I am not sure my USB port works properly in kernel
2.4.0-test4.
Certainly my USB port and my camera works
perfectly in Windows98.
My board chipset is ALi chipset with K6-2 350 MHz, it uses
OHCI usb host controller.
Could somebody tell me that above two problems are
related or not?
However, how can I see my camera image?
