correct. I have this card too, and found that I had to boot into windows,
start a tv application, then reboot into linux for the sound to work.
Even then, the sound quality was awful, so I bought another tvcard that
does have line out.

My card doesn't work in digital audio mode. I can't remember the insmod
options, but I think you want input 1.

As you are using 2.4.0, it may be easier to use devfs.
