I would like to second that this is a significant problem: I always
thought that my radio and/or my antenna were broken because I only got
noise from `radio'. Now I retried `radio' with a configuration file
(had none before) and everything works fine! So it is the tuning to
frequency zero that is causing the problem (new Hauppauge Win/TV w/
radio).
IMHO, this should be trapped in the kernel, and not in userspace.
