If you're just going to use the raw pixel data, don't get a PVR-250. It only supports 4:2:0 like MPEG expects, while any bttv-based card can grab full 4:2:2.
If you're going for quality, maybe you'd want to get something like this: ;-)

Shouldn't be too hard to get that to work with the bttv driver.
Looks nice but $600 buck is a little outside my range. I'm not after that much quality as the source sucks to begin with. I do however want both frames since the video has a lot of motion and one of the reasons I want them on CD or DVD is to be able to run AB repeats of the video slowly with my DVD player.
