Try "xawtv -noxv" to avoid black borders.
Thanks but in fact I'm not using xawtv nor tvtime.
It's an embedded application and I make the capture myself using the v4l kernel syscalls.
I have the same effect using the "webcam" command-line tool (so the error shouldn't come from my code ;)).
The black border is 1 to 2 pixels high on top and bottom (in the middle of the image it gets from 1 pixel to 2 pixel high).
