I have a AMD T-bird 1GHz with 1 GB memory, a Sound blaster live value, a GeForce 2 Twinview, an older DVD reader with no hardware decoder and a CD burner. I tend to run Mandrake but am experimenting with Gentoo also.
I want to add a tuner card for video capture, time shifting and TV viewing. I am considering a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 250 or 350, or a Pinnicle PCTV tuner. Does this look like a usable setup? Should I be looking at a different tuner? What features are people generally able to get working? Thank you in advance.
