Interesting. With feeds with enclosures, I think it's just pretty
standard practice to check every hour or two to see if you updated
your vlog.
It just works pretty well.
Sure, pinging might force an update quicker, but with feed checking
any site can check your feed and doesn't have to be on your list of
sites to be pinged.
