rather, I am, at a point of vlog information overload (but that could be
sleep deprivation talking) - but I should think most reporters will make an
internet search before commencing to interview vlogosphere subjects. If
enough vloggers show link love to a central online press kit (where we
control the spin) reporters will find it.
Furthermore, imagine vlogospherians pointing reporters to an online press
kit prior to an interview, whether that be the one we're putting together or
their own. Like it or not, we're involved in a pressworthy emerging
phenomenon that has potential to change lots of things for the better.
Individual reporter's misstatements / misinterpretations / mistakes are
certainly dealt with well via a phone call and email but can only be done
after the article / show is published. If the in print mis-whatever is
egregious enough, a letter will be published. Corrections are not typical on
TV but NPR offers them. So, call & write to reporters who misrepresent us.
In fact, those kinds of mistakes will certainly be vetted here on the list
so that a bunch of us can get behind any too-far-out media screwups.
Bottom line: We're stronger when we stick together.
