work in the past (I worked in a US comics store back in 96-97 in
Copenhagen), and I like some of it. I hope it worked out between you
and him. (For the rest of you, this is the story Chris referred to:

Even superstars read e-mail. Even superstars wonder what the heck RSS
is. Even superstars wonder whether they should sign a sponsorship
contract with X company.
Obviously, we could all go out and interview well-known people. We
could even make our own RSS feed of interviews with people from NPR,
governments, music stars or others.
But will we do that? Should we do that?
Does your interest in X person arise from the fact that the person has
been hailed in the main-stream media, or because that person's work is
truly unique?

I think we will do both, as a collective. Some of us will definitely
focus on the lives of whoever interests us - our father, or our
neighbour, or a friend. Others will seek out either current
superstars, or look for potentials; people that we think should make
it to the limelight.
Every group has its stars. There are more than a few of us who think
Jay Dedman and Michael Verdi are absolute geniuses (at least I do),
and I would definitely like to know more about what makes Dedman tick.
I didn't know before recently that Dedman worked for CNN in his past
life; it is not something he talks about a lot, but to me, that is
interesting.
The great great thing about videoblogging is that, just like homepages
at the end of the 90's - we can all have space.
I guess we will always have people we look up to, see as examples, and
would like to know more about. The traditional media is creating a lot
of hype around interviews with certain filters ("Brad Pitt talks about
his love life! Exclusive!"). Will that continue? Yes!
The personal media revolution has, in my point of view, nothing to do
with the death of mass media, and everything to do with enlarging the
options of us media "consumers".
Best wishes to you all,
