My name is Frank, I work and live in the Netherlands. I work at an
internetagency called Rhinofly. We have a weblog since 2002 called
Frank-ly (guess who writes it) and since a couple of months we are
more and more using videoblogging as a means for some articles. We
build our own tool called the AV Publisher, which uses your webcam as
a recording device. You can instantly record, store and publish a
video. We built it in our weblogsystem (which we also built ourselves)
and we mostly use it to report on events, conferences and such. Some

(http://tinyurl.com/bhv8p). Just check the titles with "Video" in them
and you'll see the movies. It all works on the flashplayer, build in
your browser.
I am wondering how you feel about a sustem like that. As I said, it
uses the webcam as your recording device. That has advantages (quick
recording, instant playback) but also disadvantages (poorer quality,
prerecorded playback not possible). There are some Dvcams on the
market that have webcam-functionality and there is some software that
makes you use your DVCam as a webcam.
We have plans for a system where you can upload files (flash video)
that get shown in the AV Publisher, but currently we focus on instant
recording by webcam.
