While not much a community effort, I have been keeping up with the Superman videoblog:http://www.bluetights.net/bulletin_list.php
I find it to be a break through for showing off visually what's going into the making of a contemporary, blockbuster film.
As far as I can tell, they have REALLY taken advantage of new tools and methods. It looks like they have minimal equipment and people for such a major film. Its really, really fascinating for me in particular to see how they make a film of this magnitude.
The videoblog does a good job of showing the behind-the-scenes.
If they added comments and RSS, wow.
I think nonetheless, this would quality as a videoblog, even without that stuff. Anyone disagree?

it's part latching on to the buzz word (videoblog) and part interpretaion of what a blog is.
to hollywood, internet + video that chronicles and/or documents (a series) is a videoblog... and thats the non-geek perspective.
i doubt this will decrease and will only become more common...
this is more reason why i think the terms videoblogs and whatevercasts need to co-exist.
