i really suggest using a mail client(gmail for me) that allows you to
create folders.
i have zero problem keeping up with this group.
The group's emails are sent to a folder.
i check the folder...and scan the subject headings...
i read what i want.
as we've discussed before.
anyone can make another group/forum and get people talking.
The Videobloggingbusiness group exists...
Thye seem to be about how you, personally, can make money.
and how to promote and market your business using videoblogs.
about business and money in this group.
like clint said, its the flavor of the month.
i dont see much talk on how the individual can make money.
But like Pete says, there seem to be quite a few businesses popping
up.. and the people who run them on in this group. we have a chance to
possibly influence them.
I think the YouTube thread is a good example.
they started out as a pretty good example of how you DO NOT treat creators.
lets see what they do.
Im sure there are plenty of MainStream Media observers in here trying
to find out what the next thing will be. lets tell/show them.
we know money must be made, but there's a lot of leeway in how this is done.
But what are we willing to pay for, accept?
What do we want to see and how do we want to see it?
For me, its always about the community.
here we are watching a new form of communication grow.
we are right here...eventhough we live all over the planet.
http://vlogmap.org
what is it we want to happen?
This is not normal what we're doing here.
We are not supposed to be so connected...im supposed to learn baout
your country through a 3rd party. But direct communication through
video? Archived for generations? Mash ups?
Unmediated?
Maybe we can help make this unmediated communication part of the
commercial culture.
Maybe people talking and sharing directly with each other can become
normal instead of a subculture.
Maybe criticism and improvement of how things are can come from the
bottom, and become mainstream. This to me is what videoblogging
represents.
if we got to talk about money to get there, then $$$$$$.
