Not sure what you meant, but yes there is support for location names
rather than latitude and longitude.

The problem with location names is that they are strings and it is
faster to process numbers rather than alphanumeric characters.  Not to
mention the problem with consistency (New York vs. New York City vs.
NY vs. NYC).

If you are referring to the privacy issue, you can always precisely
list a different location than your home.

As for the "geovlogged" clogging, it currently only shows the last
100.  If you start posting a lot from your house then yes there will
be a clogging issue.  There are a few different ways to solve this,
but it currently is not a problem.
