known 3ivx bitrate bug. If you have QT7/Tiger then it appears 3ivx
gets confused and doesnt honour the bitrate that you put in the box in
dualpass mode.
3ivx fixing this bug themselves is the proper solution, but its been
nearly 4 months since Tiger came out, so I dunno whats happening there.
Ive never done any 16:9 stuff but I guess you might want to consider
cropping out the black borders - right now I think it is actually
encoding those black areas, wasting a bit of your bitrate. And for me
personally Id like to see your content without the black borders, ie
when quicktime plays it, the quicktime window itself goes to 16:9 aspect.
