I could see how this debate was turning into
something almost personal and bitter. At best it was/is an "ideological"
clash--I.e. "idealistic (??) moralistic(???) Muslims versus the evil (???)
capitalist Western world".
I have wasted so much money on computer books and
programs and services that have ultimately proved worthless. In the
real world, no one should expect to get anything of real value for
nothing. If you receive something of value, you should be willing to
contribute what you can afford to keep it going.

The first time I saw the
"contribute" key at FireANT I tossed in $50. I figured the use I had
gotten out of FireANT was certainly worth that. If I had to, I would
certainly pay that much or more for an updated version of the
program.
I really get emotionally
furious about this kind of thing. Someone tries to do something semi-altruistic
and instead of being praised and supported in what they are doing, they are
badgered and demonized.
And then you folks wonder
why the bad always drives out the good! It is because you divide the world
into "saints" and all others (who are by definition "evil").
I salute Josh for

Realistic idealists will
chip into the FireANT kitty. Hopefully, not everyone out there is a
freeloader.
In the
event that doesn't happen, don't be surprised to see FireANT disappear or be
purchased by a real entrepreneur who is only interested in money and
doesn't give a damn about the vlogging community. You know the world
created the Microsoft that owns it today. Support the good guys while you
still have the opportunity to do so!!! Even a small donation, like a drop
of water, will support a wilting plant.

This has been discussed many times. We are not intending to
continue
much longer with this default feeds list. Its old. A relic from
the
first version when only 20 video feeds were even in existence. A
lot
has happened since then.
We're working on improving our
directory. When its at a point where we
feel its more usable, we'll drop
the default feeds altogether.
Look, Steve, I've spent a lot of time
replying to these threads today,
and these are all great questions you're
putting forth. I feel rather

idea... you could hit the donation button on our
website. We do a ton of
work to develop FireANT and want it to always
be free. We don't get paid to
do it. We do it because we believe in
it, and we believe in individual
people who make media. We certainly
hope to make enough money to sustain at
some point, but as of now we
could certainly use the extra cash. It would
help us buy more time,
maybe even hire another developer.
Or maybe
