I won't go into the political side of this, and this may be a bit
off-topic, but here's something GREAT you can do for soldiers that
are currently in Iraq, Afghanistan, or elsewhere...

Do you work with someone who is deployed right now? Visit with
their team, and bring your movie camera (or, in my case, my Sony
M1). Ask his team members to say hello, tell him what's been going
on, and that they miss him. Take short clips--less than 30
seconds. Then walk around work and take some pictures... for me,
our campus is 20-something buildings, so there's all kinds of neat
things to take pictures of that will make a soldier remember home--
the cafeteria, maybe the smoking area ;) etc.

Then put all that footage on a DVD, find out their mailing address,
and mail it to them. I guarantee they will cry.

I have done it for two guys who work for my company, neither of
which I had even ever met in person, and they both contacted me when
they came home, and said how thankful they were.
