Hey Ty, As far as I can tell, all the small DV cameras in the $300 - $500 are about the same (lots of models by Sony, Canon & Panasonic). I'm sure they all have the same quality video. I'm still using a digital 8 camera that I bought in 1999. My next purchase will be the Sanyo Xacti C5. This is a tiny mpeg4 camera that records to an SD card. The quality is nowhere as good as DV but the camera is about as big as a cell phone (actually smaller than some phones). I love it because it does video and stills and fits in your pocket so you can take it anywhere. If you're after higher quality video, you can get a small 3 chip DV camera at about $700 - $1000 (I think Sony & Panasonic make a camera in this range).
Hope that helps, Verdi On Sep 7, 2005, at 4:43 PM, Ty wrote: > Verdi, > > got your email, thanks for respondin' I'll let you know when I get > to SA. > > On another note, Im lookin for a new, SMALLER, video camera to use to > shoot with, something that is not as bulky as my gl2. hmm, i need to > eat though. > > T. > > > > > > ------------------------ Yahoo!
