If it works for you then fine, but I still consider the method you use to include plenty of hocus pocus and incantation ceremonies.
I am extremely interested to see if I can create similar results, but missing out the mpeg2/dvd steps. It shouldnt be difficult, handbrake is using encoders that can also be used in their own right. I ask you to share our handbrake settings with the group, so that 2 versions of your advise can be produced that are of value to other people creating long clips or wanting to keep them small. Its also quite possible that the same advise can be translated to windows and linux users, it is the last step, the actual mpeg4 encoding, that is giving you the results you are happy with, not the other steps. So please tell me your handbrake settings. Specifically encoder and quality/bitrate settings within handbrake.
