I interned with Bob Sabistion, maker of WAKING LIFe, and the animators of ASCANNER DARKLY.... Bob Sabiston wrote the code for his program and in my opinion is a phenomenal animator himself.... as well as to mention a video artist himself. The name of the program he created is called "COLORENGINE."
check out the DVD "waking Life" Bob Sabiston has a tutorial of his program in the "extras."
