It is one thing to use music intentionally without
paying. It is quite something else to have music you don't want forced
upon you by ringtones and background music and deny you your "right to free
speech" because you are not able to use the interview you were recording when it
intruded.
I don't know copyright law. Laws in general
are not about "justice", they are about "law" and power and money.
I'm going to be violating some copyrights with big
names in my vlogs. I was on their show and I believe I have the right to
share my appearances with others. We need to get some lawyers interested
in pressing some of these issues.
Do you know that if you sing "Happy Birthday" in a
movie you are making, you have to pay royalties even though you are singing it
or your friends are singing it to you.
Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!
