Hola! I'm new here. I created the Boycott Society: http://boycottsociety.blogspot.com/
Here's an introduction: http://boycottsociety.blogspot.com/2005/10/preamble.html Question: When I render my videos to Quicktime through my editing program, I use mpeg-4 compression at about 50% quality... but the audio is NOT able to compress using AAC. So when I check the video stats, half of the video size is taken up by audio. Then... if I re- encode using QT Pro and AAC audio, the video ends up looking horrible... and it's larger in file size than the original. What's happening here? and a note - in QT, I'm also using mpeg-4 at 50%. I've seen a lot about compression on this group and various websites, but I haven't really seen a solid answer to "what's a good compression setting"? Thanks in advance.
