I'm with you, Susan. In fact, I hereby declare that I was calling
them video podcasts _before_ Apple started promoting them as such.
When we first listed on iTunes a few months ago I made sure to use
the term in the description that goes out with our iTunes feed. Not
that I want a medal or anything.

In new media lingo today, "video podcast" demands little further
explanation, but what the hell is a vlog to most people? The term
just hasn't become mainstream, so let's move on.

I know to some people the whole vlog thing is a citizens' media
revolution, and they demand some sort of distinct term on that
basis, but to others it's a vehicle to get out content that they
enjoy producing and/or believe may be enjoyable or informative to
others. They'll describe it using the term that their target
audience is most likely to understand.
