I can confirm this, just looked on qt 7 pro for windows, there is a
new audio recording option but no ability to record video.

PC users are probably best off just trating quicktime as player &
encoder software.

eg use Windows Movie Maker to capture and edit, export to DV-AVI and
then bring that into quicktime for the final conversion step, as
discussed in very recent messages.
