I do respect the right of companies not to have their products ripped off. That is not right. However DRM is mutating into absolute control over the user's behavior. I don't need or require their help.
And I don't think I'm being too far out on the idea that at some future point DRM is going to affect how people are going to create and display content with the same tools used by MSM creators. Soon there will be new technology that will for a while stop the pirates from extracting or recording. Will they think about the wide reaching effects before they impliment said technology? They didn't this time. They won't next time. Will that new technology also stop me from creating/recording my own content?
