i made some colored cards displaying just the url's to various vlogs
and sites. it kind of looks like a tag cloud. i leave them places and
give them out to people I meet.
i doubt that it was this, but i did give one out with lofistl.com on it
at a sushi bar last week ;)

Yeah, I was acutally surprised about this. I'd like to know how they
found me. Kinda makes the fact that I passed up a chance to shoot
the great Japanese garage band Guitar Wolf last spring when they
played here. I doubt that they'll be back any time soon. Their bass
player died shortly after that tour. There is actually quite a large
garage rock scene in Japan, and a lot of great bands there. I would
love it if someone started a Lo-Fi Osaka or something. That would
rock!

If you're a fan of U.S. independent bands, I recommend
that you check out this "Lo-Fi Saint Louis" weblog
dedicated to music and music videos. You can enjoy some
thoroughly lo-fi music and live videos from various
unknown garage bands. This site provides an easily
accesible way to check out the current live performances
of American bands that only play in small clubs (and some
that might not even have CDs out). This is quite a
worthwhile endeavor I'd say. You may even encounter some
talent on the same scale as The Strokes or The White
Stripes. The site also provides occasional write-ups on
galleries and interesting buildings so if you're
interested in art you should also check out this web log.
That's it, I thought it was pretty cool getting featured like
that on
a japanese blog. I've been getting a ton of traffic from it.
this is awesome Bill.
whowould have thunk that a videoblog about the St Louis punk scene
could be seen by some people in Japan.
that they get it.
(well, we would have thunk)
great example of what its all about.
Freevlog.org is about to post a Japanse translation....so you could
send themthe link.
id love to see the crazy music they're coming up with.
