The archive's are a hassle, too.  After 5 years with blogger, I changed to movable type.  The way they handle archives is different so I basically am gonna have to sit down one day and re-direct all of them.  Huge pain, especially since google has picked up a lot of my old archives and thats where a good chunk of my traffic comes from.

I think the question is less about keeping backups so much as if there's a way to develop a system for organizing all the links -- so that a blog can, with a quick change, alter all the links to a new videohost.

Anybody?

Randy,

Since forever, I have kept all my work, backed up on a dvd.  Since I started, just lately though I have been keeping DV versions too on an external Hardrive for eventual transfer to DVD.
The archive is a good place to squirrel your work away too.

Other than that you will have to pay for storage.  There is of course video.google, I have a few in there, but they are funny as to content, they are really hardline as far as sex is concerned, but watch this space, they use flash and I am sure somewhere down the line they will be able to link to blogs soon.  I have this feeling.  After all blogger is part of google.

Imagine Blip TV going out of business!  What should we do to keep from losing our work?  Do we have to keep the originals on our computer??

Subject: [videoblogging] My feed needs to move...

Hi,

I'm in an interesting situation right now: the place where I have my vlog is closing down,
so I'm in the process of moving all my posts to a new vlog (in blogger). I'm OK with re-
publishing my posts (they're only 18), but I have a question regaring my feed:
Can I copy/paste the code to my new vlog, and will it stay the same?
Or should I get a new feed?

Right now my feed is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/LivingWithFallas

My vlog:
http://livingwithfallas.myblogsite.com

Obviously my main concern is the people who are subscribed to it. As I wouldn't want
them to have to subscribe again. I don't know if this is possible or if it's better to just
create a new one and let everyone know about it. (?)

Any one out there has any idea?

Thanks very much.

Juan
