This is just an issue of using the M4V extension. It's a file extesion that Apple made up recently (with the release of the ipod video) and you can just change the file name to read .mp4 instead and it will work just fine. The new ipods will play files with .mov, .mp4 and the Apple invented .m4v file extesions as long as they are encoded to ipod specs.
