What's the easiest way to find out what type of file (the metadata, I guess) I'm working with here?  A "Get Info" seems to only tell me the file is MPEG; is there an app that more clearly defines what type of MPEG this is?

Thanks,
Harold

Quicktime 6 or 7, VLC, Mplayer, to name a few.

If the mp4 wont open in quicktime then its either corrupt or theres
something about the mp4 that isnt quicktime compatible (try VLC instead).

If you have quicktime 6 and the mp4 is of h264 type then it wont work.
