With all this talk about HTML, PHP, that was driven by Need..
"Necessity is the Mother of Invention"
I want a video-blog with customized look/functionality ("Form & Function"), so I might be needing to write custom code. My knowledge of HTML is basic (I hack HTML word & line, using Pagespinner) & I've never played with PHP. I know how to program, it's just that I don't have any experience with Web programming. My websites lack a "professional feel", it looks amateurish. See http://www.comet-track.com/indexc.html & http://www.jumplive.com (the opening flash was done by someone I paid).
Can someone recommend some websites or books, that can get me up&running fast? I can look at website code, & "reverse engineer" or try to understand it. I have a copy of Dreamweaver, but I've been told it has a steep learning curve. I want to do some Flash animations for my website.
Can someone point me to some killer video-blogs with dazzling look/functionality? Or, cool websites? I like this one:
I also need to get better at video-editing, I'm just a beginner playing with iMovie. (I use a Sony FX1 High Definition camcorder). There's Final Cut Express, & then FC Pro (also Final Cut Studio which is a 3 program suite). I need some recommendations on some progression, in terms of video-editors. I use a Powerbook 1.5Ghz G4 out in the field, like at the offroad races I've been to. I just ordered more memory (2G), I was putzing around with 256mb!!?? (rendering times were slow) I could use some recommendations on external FW drives, like FW800 types. I'm currently using a Maxtor 160G FW external

Also, opening a new window is clunkier than opening a size-constrained popup window that can be forced to top-left of screen accordingly.
btw, though i dont think this is the best embed code generator anymore.... but it's been up for almost a year here: http://videobloggers.org/embedmedia/ just an fyi... so you can choose freevideocode.com, embedthevideo.com or whatever else is out there.
you'll be seeing new solutions and plugins becoming available over next few months, i'm sure.

I'm not understanding something..
What's the difference between your code:
<a href=""http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive-">http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive- AndyMcMillinTT83BITD06Parker425Race221.m4v" title="test" rel="enclosure" http://embedthevideo.com/">http://embedthevideo.com/ popup.php? url=''video','width=350,height=286,top=20,left=20,scrollbars= no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status= yes,left=0,top=0');return false;"><img src=""http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6909/1319/320/amcmillin1.jpg">photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6909/1319/320/amcmillin1.jpg" alt="test" border="0" class="thumbnail" /></a> <br /><a href=""http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive-">http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive- AndyMcMillinTT83BITD06Parker425Race221.m4v ">click here to download</ a><br />
& just a basic "open the video in a new browser window" using <a href="" target="_blank">video.jpg</a>:
<a href=""http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive-">http://blip.tv/file/get/Jumplive- AndyMcMillinTT83BITD06Parker425Race221.m4v" target="_blank" rel= "enclosure"><img src=""http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/">http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/ 6909/1319/320/amcmillin1.jpg"></a>
[ the above is one of the implementations at http:// www.freevideocoding.com/, "link to Player" ]
Don't both of them accomplish getting the video opened up in a new pop-up browser window?
