In Sydney, Australia, I saw a group of aboriginal people doing a street performance in a very busy area full of locals and tourists. Their performance showed elements of aboriginal culture (song, dance, stories, etc...), and they encouraged the crowd to take pictures and video of the performance and asked people to take it back to wherever they're from and share it with others so that knowledge and awareness of the aboriginal culture would spread around the world.
I thought that was great. Definitely different than that band trying to control everyone filming them.
