When it's just me, talking-head-style, it takes me about 10 minutes to edit, and half of that is importing the video to iMovie. The Toastmaster speeches are about the same, because there's no transitions or anything, just a straight shot, then cut.
For more complex stuff, like the CBSBettas vlog, or Hiking and Camping with Johnnyb, it takes me a couple of hours to sift through the footage (usually more than an hour for each vlog) and narrow it down to the 7 minutes or so that I want to post, apply transitions, etc.
If I want music, that adds a LOT of time, because I'm not up on the creative commons scene, and therefore when I think "this should have music!" the music I think of that would be perfect is usually restricted.
I used to vlog daily. I now vlog about once a week for my personal vlog, and just about monthly for the CBS and Johnnyb vlogs (though they've been delayed due to book-writing).

I'm curious about how much times folks spend editing and what programs they use? Also how often do you vlog, as that impacts time available to edit?
