I was on Windows, using Adobe Premiere for editing, and Avid Free DV for QuickTime conversion, looked at Freevlog, didn't find any AAC anywhere, tried Apple Lossless, and got ridiculous results. I settled upon using MACE. Either 3:1 or 6:1, depending on how much quality I wanted. 3 sounds little better than 6. I must say though, now that I installed Service Pack two, the upgrade of Windows Movie Maker is superior to Adobe Premiere for the simple editing needed for vlogging.
