When Disney releases a video/DVD, they sell it for a limited time and then don't make more for another 10 years. They make their films seem extra special by claiming that they are being locked up in the Disney Vault so you have to get your copy before it's too late. If you miss your chance, the price of that Disney movie will skyrocket up to a few hundred dollars... I've seen this happen before, it's a known fact. I used to work at a video store many years ago and if you watch the commercials for the recently re-released Lady and the Tramp, you'll see the reference to the Disney Vault.
