It's on the list :)  I wanted to spend some time on it this weekend, and based on your changes, that will speed up what I need to change in my version (I pass a few more parameters to the popup.php than Josh's stock one does)

..unless you were talking to Josh, in which case I'll wait on his version and steal from both of ya ;)

Ditto on the props to Verdi for fixing the popup.php and ditto on the
not had a chance to fix the Wordpress version of the popup embed
either.  This weekend. (if anyone uses it)
