Yeah, I was so nervous my first time I only took a shot from my waist for about thirty seconds.  I didn't turn it into a vlog because it turned out horribly but I might now that this is the discussion.  The part that was scary for me was that I knew the people where I was at and they hadn't ever seen me with a camera...  Vlog coming soon.

PS They DID look at me funny (perhaps because I looked funny hiding my camera)

Dude, get ready to be looked at as if you're a silly man walking through the Village rolling a grocery cart filled with white bags of God-Knows-What:

Seriously, though, you *will* get some stares.  People aren't yet used to folks pointing their camcorders at themselves yet.  I wish I could simultaneously record some of the reactions I get while I'm talking to camcorder!  (Especially when the device I'm using doesnt look much like a camcorder.)

Do you remember the first time you took your camera out in public to
do your vlog?
I'm at a point where I want to move from the comforts of my back yard
and cabana to the streets and public places to vlog.
I'm a little nervous about the unknown.
Will people stop and point, will mothers cover the eyes of children
and how long before security arrives.
So with that said, do your remember how you felt on your first public
vlog?
