It's been an interest of mine too.
I wanted to build a tool to do this for a while...
Especially after I did some node666 videos.

i wanted to make a tool that lets you import feeds or zip files of
content.... store and parse them out in your dashboard... and let you pick
through your content to select which items to include in each serialized
feed.
in addition to basic uploads and manual addition of items.

For story-tellers.... feedcycle is a good start and maybe more people with
latch onto the idea of subscribing to stories/works via user-managed rss
delivery.

what features do you think are needed?
