unless you are going to ipod or other devices with hardware limits keyframes=automatic (in qT pro) is good. then it puts keyframes where they're needed. sometimes this creates bigger files, sometimes smaller (if little change in shot then movies need less keyframes). but what it does do is mean whenever there is a signficant shot change a keyframe will be put in. if you force keyframes and you (for example) have a cut that doesn't coincide with the keyframe, then it will be 'blurry' until the next keyframe comes along. -- cheers Adrian Miles this email is bloggable [ ] ask first [ ] private [x] hypertext.RMIT <URL:http://hypertext.rmit.edu.au/admin/briefEmail.html >
