Thank you for asking this. I'm new to the list (just published my first video blog post last week). I do cooking shows, so I need lighting that will show both myself AND my food. Regarding sound, I'm running into issues like the knife sounding REALLY loud hitting the cutting board.
Sorry to jump in on the question, but I was wondering the same things!! Hey guys-- Any thoughts on a good (and cheap) lav mic and light kit for a new video blog? Just lighting and mic'ing one stationary person, and looking to keep it in the $200 range, if at all possible. It'd be great to be able to plug the mic right into the mini-jack on my dv camera, without having to mess with an additional mixer. You know, I never had to worry about this stuff working with cartoon animals... Thanks!
