YES the xacti c40 or c4 (they are similar) is the camera i have as well!

PC users, don't fear the MP4, it can easily be converted to an AVI for use
in Windows Movie Maker
using the following open source, free programs:

MP4Cam2AVI converter
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp4cam2avi/

or
MPEG Streamclip
http://www.squared5.com/

i just found out that MPEG Streamclip does batch converts too, it's the
bomb.
