Don't be too hard on yourself. You already speak two or more languages that I know of, and that gives you a huge advantage over adult learners who have never learned another language - learning a new language is hardest for them.
That said, you've chosen one of the world's hardest languages, and I've been told that it takes at least 5 years to begin to speak Mandarin properly. But, hey - better to try than not!
